Physical Therapy

Our beloved M continues making progress in physical therapy. The wonders of modern medicine abound, and after only six weeks, two metal pins and a blue sponge ball, the pinky is again functional. Here is a time lapse of the progress:

Week TwoWEEK ONE: 2 metal pins are inserted into the pinky, repairing the fracture of the proximal phalanx of the left 5th digit

Week OneWEEK THREE: The hand is sealed in a "bear paw" soft cast

Week ThreeWEEK FOUR: The bear paw is removed and the pinky is buddy taped to the ring finger for support

Week SixWEEK SIX: The pinky is freed during physical therapy sessions, where it appears slightly swollen but functional

Last night I had the pleasure of hearing M playing the guitar again for the first time. Heisenflei continues to be patient, but it looks like the two might get into the practice space sooner than previously thought. Perhaps they will grace us with a face-melting show in the near future?
